There’s no denying that physical exercise is good for our bodies. But did you know that it can also boost our mental health? When we exercise, our bodies release endorphins, which are feel-good chemicals that can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, regular exercise can help regulate our mood through dopamine. Exercise also can improve our sleep (I know after a hard day paddling in a canoe, I will be rewarded with a good night’s rest). Know that a good night’s sleep is key to recovery and recreation.
